Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Concord is a living organism under direct jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco, which functions under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which is the Eparchy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the United States of America.
The Orthodox Church traces its history back to the first century Church in Jerusalem, founded by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. The Church is fully conscious of this history. Actually, she celebrates it, marking important events in her history throughout the year with special celebrations. Also, the Church is aware of the Historical Christian truths that form the essential fabric and common heritage that belongs to all Christians of all ages in all places.
We are a parish of all ages, of those born into Orthodox Christian families and those newer to the Faith. We are located across the Pavilion in Concord, at 1955 Kirker Pass Road. Visitors heartily welcome!
